Instructions
  1. Preheat grill to 350ºF.
  2. Grill limes, cut side down, 4 to 6 minutes or until nicely charred. Set aside.
  3. Place a large non stick saute pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Brush tuna steak with olive oil and season liberally with salt and pepper.
  5. Sear one side 3 to 4 minutes or until a nice crust has formed.
  6. Flip tuna and cook an additional 3 minutes. Allow to rest at least 5 minutes.
  7. Cut tuna thinly, roughly the same size as avocado slices. Set aside briefly.
  8. To make dressing: squeeze juice from grilled limes into a bowl and add sesame oil, soy sauce and green onions. Whisk well. Dressing can be made a day in advance to allow flavors to meld.
  9. To serve, spread slices of avocado on a serving plate and top with thin slices of tuna steak and a drizzle of vinaigrette. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
